We have been running Little People’s Drama Company very successfully for 5 years via family classes, schools and community settings like the Millenium Library and Norwich Theatre Royal. In the first lockdown we, being parents ourselves, huddled down and took time to make our little ones feel safe and secure.

Our business, as well as our children returned to schools in September but sadly not for long.

This current lockdown has been harder for many people. The exhaustion of a third lockdown and homeschooling in the winter months has taken its toll on parents and children alike. We ourselves have found it difficult at times to find different and exciting things to do to keep our children’s spirits up. There are only so many walks you can go on per day!! And although schools are hoping to return soon, (our fingers are tightly crossed) those with pre school children will still not have the lifeline of groups to attend.

As both parents, and professionals we wanted to try and help.

So we have created interactive online adventures for you to go on in your own homes with your little ones. If you’re working from home, our adventures are something they can do by themselves whilst having fun and actually (although they will never know it) learning too. Each video is packed full of Early Years and Foundation Stage skills.

Please do not be put off by the word “drama”! We promise to do all of that bouncing around with your child so you don’t have to (although we of course encourage those who wish to, to very much join in). 🙂

Video are suitable for 2-6 yrs and consists of:
Hello song
A drama game
An interactive adventure
Suggestions to further learning

We hope these adventures bring some much needed joy and creativity to your home.
Please tell your friends about them if you love them as much as we do. That way we can keep the cost at £1 so everyone can afford to participate.

Simply put….

We strongly believe money should not be a barrier when it comes to children’s well being and learning.

We also believe these videos will bring a little joy into children’s homes right now.

However, we are a small business in difficult times and we need to cover our costs.

Our hope is that by you sharing our posts and spreading the word with families and friends, we can keep the cost of these videos to a minimum, enabling as many families as possible to have access to them.

Drama has numerous advantages and is a fantastic, fun way for children to learn. We know this because we have over 23 years experience teaching it. At Little People’s Drama Company it is not about performing but about giving children the skills to go on and be successful in the next stages of their lives; skills like:

Emotional development and empathy
Listening and concentration skills
Confidence
Social skills
Self awareness
Language and communication skills
Creative thinking and problem solving
Understanding of the world around them
Ability to be a team player
Physical development

Each of our adventures are filled with songs, games, role-play, an adventure and most of all fun! Whether we are growing enormous turnips, sailing the high seas or going on safari to find magical creatures, our adventures gently nurture and encourage children’s imaginations whilst secretly (shhhh!) teaching them life long skills.

Each video consists of:
Hello song
A drama game
An interactive adventure
Suggestions to further learning

Our wish is to share far and wide so we can keep producing the videos and enable as many families as possible to have weekly access to them at the current price of £1.
